Tekfurdağı’nda doğdu. İlk tahsîlini orada tamamladıktan sonra medrese eğitimi almak için gittiği İstanbul’da hüsn-i hatta hevesle Kebecizâde Mehmed Vasfî Efendi’den sülüs ve nesih meşkine gayret etti. Kısa zamanda ikmâl ile icâzetine nâil olduktan sonra Eyüp cihetinde bir mektebe muallim olup senelerce talim-i talebe ile meşgul olan Seyyid Mehmed Emîn Zihnî Efendi’nin vefât tarihi ve medfeni hakkında bir malûmât yoktur.
