About Artist
Şumnu hattatlarından olan Osman Şevkî Efendi’nin terceme-i hâline dâir herhangi bir malumât yoktur. Hüsn-i hattı Hâfız Süleyman Vehbî Efendi’den meşkederek icâzet almıştır. Beldesinde mushâf-ı şerîf tahrîri ile meşgul erbâb-ı hattan olduğuna H. 1231/M. 1815-1816 tarihli Kur‘ân-ı Kerîm’i delildir.
