Kayserili Seyyid Mehmed Hicâbî Efendi ile aynı kişi olmadığı ve İstanbul'da kitabet hizmetleriyle meşgul iken H. 1250'li yıllarda vefât etmiş olduğu anlaşılmaktadır.
