Üsküdâr’da doğduysa da, silsile-i nesebi hakkında bir bilgi yoktur. Anber Mustafa Ağa’dan sülüs ve nesih meşkederek icâzet almış, bilhassa nesihte mâhir bir hattat olmuştur. Genç denilebilecek bir yaşta olduğu halde, H. 1090 senesi dolaylarında vefât etmişse de, medfeni ma’lum değildir.
