About Artist


Ali Mamduh was born in Egypt 1984. He worked as a calligrapher and Islamic art designer at Thesaurus Islamicus Foundation since 2002. He is a member of the Syndicate of Arabic Calligraphy. He obtained a diploma in ornamentation, advertising, and decoration from Cairo Architectural Art School in 2002, and a another diploma from the School of Arabic calligraphy Khalil Agha in 2008. He was trained on Arabic Calligraphy by Mr. Ahmed Fares, and on Islamic design by Mr. Daud Sutton. He participated in many local and international exhibitions and festivals in many countries such as: Lebanon, Algeria, Kuwait, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. 

He obtained the first prize for Thuluth calligraphy in Oscudar international competition in Turkey, and the second prize in the Arabic calligraphy by Ministry of Culture and Arts in Saudi Arabia. He also obtained the third prize in the international Burdah and Al Baraka Turk competitions, and he also won twice in a row, the incentive prize presented in the name of Badawi Al-Dirani and Akmal al-Dīn Iḥsān Ūghlī, by IRCICA Research Center, and he eventually won it again for the third time in a competition organized in the name of Hafiz Osman. In addition to this, he won the first prize for classical works presented by Sharjah Forum.
