İlyâs Efendi namında bir zatın oğlu olarak Konya’da doğdu. Medrese tahsili için gittiği İstanbul'da hemşehrisi Ebûbekir Râşid Efendi’den sülüs ve nesih meşkederek icazet aldı. H. 1176/1762-1763 tarihli En’âm-ı Şerif’i görülmüş olan hattatın hayat hikayesi, vefat tarihi ve medfeni tespit edilememiştir.
