Abdulkareem Thabit
About Artist
Abdulkareem Thabit was born in 1960 in
Basra. He graduated from the Institute
of Fine Arts, Basrah, with a degree in
Calligraphy and Decoration and has a
Bachelor in Print Design from the Faculty
of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad. He
worked as a calligrapher at Basrah and
Arab Gulf Studies Center, University of
Basrah, and gave calligraphy lessons
at Fine Arts Institute, Basrah. He is still
working as a calligraphy instructor at Al
al-Bayt University in Jordan.
